Last week the design team at Luxury for the Home met with Lisa Carlyle to learn all about Advanced Energy Films. The film DOES NOT bubble like you think it might because it is a Huper Optkik high quality product. The 8mm thick films keep out heat, glare and provide safety for your home. The films range from clear to dark. What you need depends on where your windows are located…Southwest to Northeast. Now I know what you are thinking right now, that the darkness of the film is going to take away from the view your windows give you and will make your house dark. This is NOT true! You will see in a photo below that the films reduce the glare to enhance your view. I just love the fact that these films are durable and affordable!

Lisa did a demonstration for us. She took her lamp that acted as the sun and put her BTU meter in front of it producing the number 300, which is what you could get if the sun was directly shining on your window. Then she put one of the mid-range dark films in-between the lamp and the BTU meter. The number went all the way down to around 30. What impressed me the most was when she asked me to put my hand in front of the lamp and then with the film in front of the lamp. It was amazing, the heat was gone and it felt cool! If you are a little skeptical they install samples at every appointment and give you a few days to decide which one you like or if you even like it at all!
