Testimonials Interior Design is what we love to do

“My original 1920’s house had been converted from a duplex in the early ‘90s, but the layout/flow was awkward. Finishes and fixtures were outdated, and the rooms felt isolated. The original glass windows were beautiful but impractical and dual front entries did nothing for curb appeal aside from confusing visitors. I’m a big fan of Craftsman-style bungalows because of their detail, simplicity and scale as they relate to people. The lots in Montrose tend to be smaller which is one of the main reasons I opted to preserve the past (smaller is good) while embracing the future (open/new is better) without compromising the existing house’s scale or creating an out-sized house for the lot.

The project’s goal was to revitalize the house while honoring the bungalow style. Leslie conceived a plan to achieve this objective, completely reorganizing the interior spaces by separating public and private living areas, something I never imagined. Interiors were then enhanced by applying sophisticated, monochromatic materials that beautifully complement the home’s architectural style which is now open and relaxed.

It has been a fun and exciting journey because of Leslie and the team who have been amazing and who have worked tirelessly throughout the transformation. Luxury For The Home has brought so much to the project. Objectivity. Commitment. Professionalism. Insight, experience and knowledge about the latest design standards / trends / build process. Leslie has a talent for distilling seemingly countless details into manageable bites, making the decision-making process painless. Without her guidance, the process would not have been as stress-free as it was – a big deal when doing a major renovation. I would recommend Leslie because my experience with the process was so positive, but more importantly because I love the result!” Michael M.

“My beautiful new kitchen! Thanks to Leslie and the Luxury For The Home crews for making my kitchen remodel such a positive experience. Leslie listened to my thoughts and ideas and came up with a makeover that incorporated what I wanted but she also had suggestions that made the results so much more than I thought possible. I learned quickly that I could trust the crews to be on time and professional and I could also trust that Leslie was making sure that everything was done exactly as planned. I am already planning my master bathroom makeover and will be going back to Luxury For The Home for more of their excellent services!!” Bill & Jenny C.

“I wanted to make some changes to my home and Luxury For the Home did an excellent job! I wanted wood flooring, new tile in the kitchen and master bath, custom blinds for the front rooms and paint throughout the house. Leslie provided a range of products to select from and I am thrilled with the final outcome. I have received many compliments on the bamboo flooring as well as the custom tile installation. The paint selection added a new dimension to the rooms and the blinds are perfect. I found Leslie to be knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with and I would not hesitate to recommend Luxury For the Home. It is nice to know that there is someone that you can entrust your home to.” Rita C.

“My wife and I recently remodeled our master bath. Leslie Hassler and everyone associated with “Luxury for the Home” were fantastic. Leslie understood exactly what we wanted and she made sure it happened. One of the trepidations that my wife and I had was having people that we didn’t know in our house while we were not home. We were especially concerned that one of our pets could slip out an open door. Leslie and Ali were great. They made sure that someone was always there overseeing the project and our two dogs loved the attention they got. My wife and I both work strange hours and we really appreciated that when Leslie or Ali said they would be someplace at a certain time they were. Leslie has a great attitude and when we did change our mind on some things it didn’t faze her a bit. If a problem did occur, Leslie made sure it was corrected right away. Leslie made the whole remodeling process as easy and stress free as possible. Leslie and her crew are not only great at what they do, but they earned our trust, and being able to trust people with your home is a great feeling. We highly recommend Leslie Hassler and “Luxury for the Home” to anyone who is contemplating a remodeling project.” Richard & Bobbie R.

“Leslie helped Drew and I create an entirely new kitchen and laundry room in our house. It is great. The only hard part was completing the work we agreed to do ourselves. Even with the occasional glitches Leslie was awesome in achieving a timely and good resolution. This was the first time we had worked with a designer so I did not really know what to expect. The number of designs she did and the thoroughness of the design elements (lighting, appliances, different finishes, etc) was amazing. We enjoyed having Leslie as part of our family (so to speak) for the 3-4 months it took to complete the project. We would definitely recommend Luxury For The Home and use its services again.” Drew & Kornti M.

“This was my first experience with a design firm. Leslie did an excellent job of walking me through. Time and financial estimates were accurate. There is not one aspect of her service I was disappointed in. She treated us as if we were her most important clients. I have recommended her services to many of my friends.” Matt & Michelle T.

“I had never used a decorator before so the experience of conveying my ideas to someone else to implement was new. The time savings to me during the entire project was phenomenal as I did not have to run around town, and did not even have to be home if that was an inconvenience for me. The inevitable last minute corrections in color and/or production time were dealt with quickly and most importantly Leslie applied the “heat” and Mrs. Homeowner was still a good guy. I would definitely use Leslie’s services again.” Dr. Jim & Sue F.

“I want to thank you for your diligent work and your efforts. I am so grateful for our relationship and how you are truly impacting my personal world. I am excited to embark on a journey where my personal space will invigorate me and where I feel like more like a realtor and not a bachelor. By the way, the design totally fits me and is me!” Joseph D.

“My husband and I, high-rise condo dwellers, decided that our kitchen was crying out for a major redo after 21 years of use. Our kitchen lacked space and organization and presented a challenge with its small footprint. We needed more and better storage options, ease of maintenance, and a cohesive plan that would work with our existing décor. Our concern was finding the right combination of options without making regrettable expensive mistakes. We wanted elements of both modern and traditional in our space. Our next major decision was finding the right person with the talents and experience for the project. Fortunately, we heard about Leslie Hassler with Luxury for the Home from our daughter who with her husband was building a home in a local historical district. We had the chance to see the beautiful result of a carefully planned Arts and Crafts style interior by Leslie Hassler of Luxury for the Home. Our own experience with Leslie Hassler, albeit a smaller project, produced a very happy result. Leslie created extra space with taller cabinets, under the counter washer and dryer, and over the refrigerator storage. Pull out shelves and multiple drawers with built in dividers make the workspace efficient and easy to use. The combination of traditional cabinets and a deep modern stainless steel sink created a kitchen that fits our style. Leslie was very attuned to our needs and wants guiding us gently through the process of a plethora of choices to arrive at a final plan, holding our hands when we suffered from uncertainty and making our experience result in a very happy outcome. Our friends are beating a path to our door to see the completed project. They all love our new kitchen and are taking notes and some are dreaming up plans for their own updates.” Terry & Les P.

“Leslie worked with us on every aspect of our home design and we could not be more pleased. She listens to her clients and creates ideas that exceed expectations. Working with her we were able to capture the dream of re-creating a traditional craftsman style home with no detail over looked.

Leslie created an amazing flow in our home from the unique tile design in kitchen and baths that tie to the intricate designs for the stairs and exterior porches and even the door knobs. She designed thoughtful and useful cabinets throughout our home that are not only beautiful to the eye they are practical for our every day needs. She is creative and thoughtful and a joy to work with. People visit our home and are amazed at the detail and variety and we owe this to Leslie and our shared vision for a truly craftsman style home.

She is committed to her clients and the success of the project. Leslie was always available to us and guided us through a large and challenging project. She also went to battle with the various contractors to make sure the project met her’s and our expectations. I highly recommend Leslie Hassler and Luxury for the Home.” Sam and Jill S.

“My husband and I hired Leslie and Luxury for the Home to design our daughter’s nursery. Our experience with our previous designer didn’t end up so well, so we were wary at first. Leslie put our fears to rest. She was very transparent about fees and charges, and we found the value of her services to be excellent. She and her team designed a gorgeous room from ideas I had found from various nurseries, making it unique and completely our own. I never had to take time from work as someone from the team was at the house to manage painters, installers, etc. The project was completed on time and within budget. We loved the nursery so much we hired her to do our master bedroom and once again loved the results. I cannot recommend Luxury for the Home enough.” Kyle & Nicole L.
